Marilyn R. Bird M.S.

        Marilyn Bird (co-owner of Bird and Kern & Associates)holds a Master's in Speech Pathology. She is a member of the California Speech, Language, and Hearing Association, and the American Speech Language Hearing Association. She has been in private practice for 31 years and worked in the public school system 6 years before that. Marilyn is interested in many areas of her profession, including: AAC devices, vocabulary building, Apraxia, Oral motor, Autism, and co-ordinating clinical work with real life situations. She has worked in the area of Autism since 1975, a cumulative 36 years of expert experience. She has taught classes at the university level, presented at ASHA, and she is continually learning. Marilyn is extremely dedicated to her clients and fosters feelings of hope for them as well as their families.
